We woke up to the joyous sounds of Katie’s 3.5 year old niece yelling “Aunt Katie, I’ve got boogies on my knee!” At the joyous hour of 6:30am, Aunt Katie was on patrol cleaning up ‘scabs’ on knees (aka: boogies) and making animal and name shaped pancakes. Yet again, the time flew and we had delivered each child to their school.
We were pleasantly rewarded for our parents-in-training by getting play golf with Mrs. Barnett at the country club. Both Dermot and Katie would have liked to play the front nine again, but we had a fabulous time enjoying the perfect weather and company. Dermot was very pleased with making par from the back tees on the infamous 16th hole. (For those keeping score . . . . Dermot ended up shooting a 96 (52/44))
Jorie and Dan returned from their night in Atlantic City to happy to find their children still had all their limbs, and we all had dinner to celebrate Katie’s Dad’s Birthday and her parent’s wedding anniversary.
