We woke up to rain in Wilmington, N.C. and were glad that we choice to sleep in a permanent structure as opposed to our trusty tent. We had breakfast at Atlanta Bread Company (since they had an Internet connection), and we spent a good few hours trip planning before heading up to Virginia Beach, VA.
We met up with Matt B, Dermot’s high school friend at Catch 33. Matt brought his pride and joy with him—the infamous fantasy football helmet- a worn out… no padding, but cherished trophy for Dermot’s high school friends. After our delicious seafood dinner, we took pictures of King Neptune and the ‘helmet.
After dinner, we made our way back north to Northern VA, Katie’s hometown! We hit 10,000, yes…. 10,000 miles on the trip– and realized that we have spent 7 whole days in the car…
