Although we were up nice and early, working on our website… time flew and we were late to Heather and Moses’s brunch. The brunch was beautifully catered with French toast bread pudding, frittatas and delicious coffee. Brent (Heather’s brother) gave us a tour of a cavern on their property- as well as let the boys test out their atv ‘vehicles’…
We said our goodbyes (with all limbs still attached) and made our way into Washington DC to meet up with one of Katie’s best friends from junior high school. The Marine’s spoiled us rotten (as they always do) with freshly grilled steak for fajita night. We told them about our 10,000 mile drive…but they thoroughly entertained us with stories about their recent trip to South Africa– from diving with ragged tooth sharks to cage diving with great whites! They took plenty of notes for us (we’ll be heading there in June 2008), as well as which dive shops to avoid!
